Saudi stocks plummeted further last week despite good first quarter results reported by several leading firms.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) shed 6.1 percent, closing week at 12,751.39 points. TASI is currently 23.7 percent lower than the years start.
According to the weekly report of the Riyadh-based Bakheet Financial Advisors (BFA), "The Saudi stock market continued its sharp fluctuations amid profit-taking on investment stocks and heavy speculation on stocks of companies with weak financial indicators."
"It seems that many investors are concerned about the probability of fresh sharp market retreats despite a number of positive factors for the listed companies, especially investment firms," it added.

Sa har skrev mojas forra veckan ang. GCC indexet:
B=0,5 x A och C=A samt att C tycks ha bottnat vid botten av tidigare 4:e-våg. Helt enligt skolboken.
Men isf ABC kan man sätta 123 och då ser det riktigt illa ut. Vågdelaren är ca 7500, dvs botten för A. Om över så är det ett starkt tecken på ny bulle. En konsolidering under 7500 tyder på en 4:e-våg vilket innebär att indexet bara är i början av en stooooor nedgång.
Viktigt förstås att senaste botten håller.
Igar stangde indexet pa 6.303.

It was a brutal day on Kuwait Stock Exchange yesterday, as disappointing results from Housing Finance Co (Iskan) and Osoul Leasing & Financing Co sent the KSE Price Index to a fresh 5-week low. Losses were steady throughout the session. The Global General Index (GGI) closed down 3.67 points, or 1.27 per cent, at 286.37 points.
Reflecting the markets bearish tone, the market benchmark, KSE Price Index ended the day 141.2 points lower at 10,055.3 points. The index is at its worst standing since March 29.
On the broader market for equities, decliners clearly outnumbered advancers 80 to 16 on KSE yesterday. Volume was very light, with investors exchanging only 87.25mn shares during the session.

Markets in the Gulf continued their sharp decline yesterday, with Dubai Financial Markets (DFM) index falling below the 500 points benchmark, triggering more panic among small investors.
The DFM index closed down 5.06 per cent, with 19 out of the 20 shares traded recording losses. The Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADSM), fell by 5.69 per cent, with only two shares up.
"Whats happening is beyond our control," said an investor on the ADSM floor. "The bank is squeezing me with deadlines, I have no choice but to liquidate some of the shares. Otherwise, they threaten to claim the total amount."

In Saudi Arabia the Tadawul All-Shares Index dropped 4.3 per cent to 11,028.23. The Doha Securities Market was down 1.8 per cent and Kuwait stumbled 2.6 per cent.
"We are in the same boat," said Ali Dakkak, a professor of economics at King Abdul Aziz University in Saudi Arabia.
The overvaluation is caused by large loans offered to investors by the banks, and the decline now is due to margin calls for these loans, said Mohammad Ali Yasin, general manager of Emirates Commercial Centre.

Ur ett vågräkningsperspektiv ser det nu jätterugigt ut. Finns två alternativ, men bägge pekar brant nedåt.
alt 1) Det pågår en ABC ner. Indexet befinner sig i våg C.3.3 nu. Det värsta pågår nu. Det är rätt långt kvar till botten, men den finns.
alt 2) Det pågår en inmpuls-5:a nedåt. Indexet befinner sig nu i våg 3.3.3. Det är mycket långt kvar till den slutliga botten.......om den finns.......

Jag råkade hitta Gulfbase.com igen och kom att tänka på Saudi index, som nu är nere i 7121. Hur går det ihop med dina tidigare kommentarer mojas?

#9 Tror det var GCC-indexet vi tittade på förut.
Kan bottna vid 3700 om några veckor. Alltså en Major botten efter att ha gjort en dubbel zigzag ner.
Eller så fortsätter den sakta ner i den flacka röda kanalen i all evighet ;-)

The index of Doha Securities (DSM) lost 224.45 points to close at 8,918 at the close of trading last week as compared to 9,142.45 the previous week.
The value of traded shares decreased by 17.98 per cent to QR 1.23bn at the end of last week as compared to QR 1.51bn the previous week.
The volume of shares traded decreased by 10.43 per cent to 23,292,544 shares as against 26,003,865 shares in the previous week, figures released by DSM on Thursday show. The number of transactions fell by 17 per cent to 23,069 as compared to 27,794 deals the previous week. Market capitalization decreased by 2.25 per cent to QR 252.74bn at the end of last week as compared to QR 258.74bn the previous week.
