Det är optionslösen denna vecka så jag vill varna för en möjlig vändning uppåt som kan antigen börja imorgon tisdag eller onsdag...
Risken för att nå nivåer runt januari botten är fortfarande möjliga..
Jag skriver detta bara för att man inte väntar med att ta hem vinsterna om man blankat eller köpt säljposition...
jag bevakar för att ta en köp position...
Men glöm inte stop loss
Glöm inte att det är en dead cat bounce och inget annat så länge...
Obs Stänger vi under augusti low så räkna med att reversal kan dröja...

Hm, dead cat bounces har vi haft några stycken typ 7-12 dagar men nu kan det vara dags för ett riktigt bearmarketrally på 6-8 veckor eller 90-180 dagar. Det återstår att se om vi har en higher low in place. Tons of bad news is discounted right now.

Vet inte om jämförelsen är riktig men finansmarknaden håller på att braka samman och en recession verkar trolig och DJ ca 15 % från toppen.
GM idag med riktigt uselt resultat, var ska förlusterna i längden plockas när inga likvida medel finns.
Det som är positivt för aktiemarknaden är att $ trots allt håller ställningen och att någon kommer med livlina som fick börsen att skutta:

Buffet är ju affärsman så det var säkert ett skambud eftersom ett företag tackat nej. Den som har kapital kan såklart tjäna bra på andras problem i kristider.

Lite statistik.
Going back to 1986, the NDX has had 52 occurrences where the market gapped up over 1% and then finished negative on the day. It closed higher the next day 54% of the time.
The chance of the NDX being up on any day over the period was also 54%. Over the next 3 and 5 days the chances of the market being higher were 62% and 65% after a large failed gap up.
The NDX has closed higher between 55.5% and 56.5% of the time over all 3 and 5 days periods since 1986.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. fixed-rate mortgages rose in the latest week, according to Freddie Mac's survey released Thursday.
The national average interest rate on the benchmark 30-year, fixed-rate loan averaged 6.04% in the week ending Thursday, up from 5.72% a week ago, but lower than the year-ago 6.22%.
The 15-year fixed-rate loan averaged 5.64%, up from 5.25% a week ago, but down from 5.97% a year ago.
The five-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgage averaged 5.37%, compared with 5.19% a week ago and 5.96% a year ago.
"After trending up in the past two weeks, long-term fixed mortgage rates are back up to nearly where they were at the beginning of the year. In contrast, average rates on adjustable-rate mortgages are about 0.5 percentage points below levels of the first week of this year," said Frank Nothaft, Freddie Mac vice president and chief economist. "As the spread between long-term fixed-rates and adjustable-rates widens, it's possible we could see a slight increase in the popularity of adjustable-rate mortgages

NEW YORK, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Banks rescuing Ambac Financial Group Inc (ABK.N: Quote, Profile, Research) could announce a plan as soon as Monday or Tuesday, CNBC's Charles Gasparino said on Friday.
The details of the deal are still being worked out and the plan may fall through, Gasparino said.

Ja inte blir det någon black monday nu. Anmärkningsvärt att de tog en sådan nyhet på ett så stort allvar, verkar vara mycket psykologi nu! De(USA) hade nog suttit helspända och nervösa hela dagen, och så skriker någon BUU ock alla hoppar upp i taket av spänningen:))

Note: the banks aren't making an equity infusion. As I read this, they are merely backstopping a public offering by Ambac. This is the most lukewarm form of support they could provide.

Dow 30 Welcomes Two New Members
It?s been nearly four years since the Dow Jones Industrial Average was altered by Dow Jones & Co, but the 30-stock average will be shaken up with the additions of Bank of America and Chevron to the index, replacing Altria Group and Honeywell International.
Bank of America and Chevron are, in some ways, obvious choices ? they?re the two largest U.S. companies by market capitalization not in the Dow industrials, with market caps of $187.1 billion and $167.4 billion, respectively.
Chevron?s seen this movie before. The company was part of Standard Oil Co. of California, and was a member of the Dow between Feb. 1924 and August 1925. It was added again in 1930, but replaced on Nov. 1, 1999. Bank of America, meanwhile, has never been a member, but the company is the largest financial-services institution by market capitalization, surpassing Citigroup in 2007
