STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Hennes & Mauritz redovisar ett
resultat före skatt på 4.586 miljoner kronor (4.404) för det
tredje kvartalet, juni till augusti, i räkenskapsåret
2007/2008.

Analytikernas genomsnittliga förväntning på
resultatet före skatt var 5.087 miljoner kronor, enligt en
prognossammanställning från SME Direkt.

Resultatet var därmed 9,8 procent sämre än väntat
enligt SME Direkt.

Rörelseresultatet uppgick till 4.365 miljoner kronor
(4.228) och rörelsemarginalen blev 20,9 procent (22,6),
vilket kan jämföras med förväntningarna som var 4.857
miljoner och en marginal på 23,0 procent.

Bruttovinstmarginalen blev 60,8 procent (61,2),
vilket kan jämföras med analytikernas prognos på i snitt 61,7
procent.

Nettoresultatet blev 3.325 miljoner kronor (3.167)
och vinsten per aktie 4:02 kronor (3:83).

Försäljningen exklusive moms uppgick till 20.871
miljoner kronor (18.707). Analytikernas förväntningar var en
försäljning, exklusive moms, på 21.160 miljoner kronor,

American Express Profit Beats Analysts' Estimates

Profit from continuing operations declined 23 percent to $861 million, or 74 cents a share, beating the 59-cent average estimate of 15 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Revenue at the New York-based lender rose 3 percent to $7.16 billion.

American Express lost more than half its market value this year as rising U.S. unemployment is forcing consumers to spend less and default on loans more. Cardholders failed to repay loans in the third quarter at almost twice the rate of a year earlier, American Express said. The company set aside $1.4 billion for future loan losses, less than the $1.9 billion estimate of John Williams, analyst at Macquarie Capital in New York.


``I can't imagine the loss-provision numbers could be as low as this without rising again in the future,'' Williams said in an interview after the release. He rates the firm ``neutral.

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Volvo redovisar ett resultat efter
finansiella poster på 2.898 miljoner kronor för det tredje
kvartalet 2008 (4.571).

Analytikerna hade räknat med ett resultat efter
finansiella poster på 4.511 miljoner kronor, enligt SME
Direkts sammanställning.

I resultatet ingick engångsposter på 300 miljoner
kronor för omstrukturering inom VCE och 30 miljoner kronor
för omstrukturering inom Volvo Trucks. Enligt SME förväntades
att engångsposterna sammanlagt skulle bli -315 miljoner
kronor.

Resultatet före skatt var därmed 35 procent sämre än
SME:s förväntningar.

Rörelseresultatet uppgick till 3.177 miljoner kronor
(5.010). Valuta påverkade rörelseresultatet positivt med
cirka 150 miljoner kronor jämfört med andra kvartalet 2007.
Analytikernas förväntningar låg på ett rörelseresultat om
4.723 miljoner kronor.

Nettoomsättningen uppgick till 69.604 miljoner kronor
(68.367), jämfört med analytikernas snittprognos på 70.039
miljoner kronor.

Rörelsemarginalen blev 4,6 procent under kvartalet
(7,3), att jämföra med förväntningarna på 6,7 procent.

Volvokoncernens nettoresultat landade på 1.977
miljoner kronor (3.118)./
