Men det viktigaste vad händer sen... Håll er borta från att köpa om du tänker långsiktigt... Lägget börjar klarna och utan tvekan vi kommer att sjunka ännu mer... Och det finns ingen i världen som kan rädda oss från detta...
Ben eller Hank har jag sagt flera gånger , de kommer inte att lösa nått...de kommer bara att förvärra lägget...
Vi skall ner så att det kommer att talas om detta i flera decenier.
Mitt mål för spx kommer jag att skriva om nu på lördag eller söndag...
Jag kommer att ändra mig så fort jag märker att jag har fel...

Med all respekt för eminenta analyser här på AG.. Tror att marknaden bottnade idag och att vi får ett sucker´s rally fram till nyår e dyl. Senaste veckans momentum nedåt är historiskt, liksom nivån på VIX, varför det för egen del känns bättre att vara lång fr o m idag. Visst, vinstprognoserna kommer att revideras nedåt men det blir först senare under våren.

Spx 500 vad händer om vi nu får rally nästa vecka... är nedgången över...
Jag tror inte det... Det finns mycket att hämta ner...
Jag tror att vi kommer att brytta under 2001-2002 low och där kommer paniken att uppstå så att spx 500 kan falla mot nivåer runt 640-670 innan det vänder uppåt...
Det finns andra mörkare alternativ än detta som jag inte vill ta upp nu...

Jag är ingalunda tvärsäker. Nedgången har gått fort och senaste veckans rörelse liknar mer en 3-våg än en avslutande 5-våg. Eftersom 3:or brukar vara längst skulle det tala för att vi får en 5:a nedåt innan det vänder..
Överhuvudtaget är det intressant att placera 2001 och 2008 års kurser för SP500 ovanpå varandra. De följer inte perfekt men jag är övertygad om att det är ungefär samma slags marknadsläge och samma säsongseffekter. Halvårs- och kvartalscykler ffa. Dvs, att man genom att jämföra med 2001 får en hint om vad som ungefär kan väntas hända när.
spx970, jag är lite orolig för dig ;-) Du har ju under lång tid arbetat hårt och faktiskt lyckats få ner SPX till din målnivå ;-) Jag tyckte från början att du var lite tjatig men du har ju fått helrätt. All heder till Dig!
Men min oro för dig består i att den metod du använder inte visar rätt vid större bottnar (enl min uppfattning). Det negativa kommer att dominera lååååångt efter börsbotten så jag frågar i all vänskaplighet hur du kommer att hantera ett äkta rally? (alltå betydligt mer än 1000 punkter för DJIA).

Igår natt bestämde mig för att vara beredd för nästa bull market och inte bear market... därför skrev jag #10 ett gott råd börja lita efter bra företag...
Och du vet att jag följer dina och nisses och andras analyser, ... dem kommer säkert att hjälpa ...
Jag är inte född bear eller bull... det är marknaden,,, jag lyssnar på marknaden, mina källor som tolkar marknaden sen fattar jag egna beslut...

Minns allas under en tid idol här på AG, Fibonacci. Var gud hela vägen ned till botten i oktober 2002. Men den botten var han mycket långt ifrån. Å andra sidan skulle han säga att han har rätt med tanke på denna höst. Men däremellan har mkt vatten och blod flutit.

Recession or Depression?
...
With that, I conclude that we are back to the one key question: are we facing a recession or a depression? If a recession, we should be buying with both hands, but if a depression, there will be better bargains later. At present, given the condition of the banks and the global scope of the problem, I lean toward the depression side of the argument, but I am not totally sold on the idea. There are bright people on both sides of the question. That said, I am not jumping to buy at present, even with many indicators that are favorable. The state of the financial system matters more.

Det blev ingen inga ny lows för igår... är nedgången över... jag kan inte uttala mig nu.
Det viktigaste att man lämnade marknaden i tid... Sen att det fortsätter ner eller upp är för mig ett sätt att låta marknaden som jag skrev igår avslöja sitt ansikte.
när marknaden börjar förvirra dig, låt den vara i fred...
En del nyheter släpptes igår , Google, IBM, AMD kom med sina rapporter och det tolkades poistivt...

Allt handlar om perspektiv. Själv har jag inte tålamod att invänta trendskiften modell större. Bättre (för mig) att handla på 1-5 dagar. Med notorna i backspegeln, blir det sällan mer än tre dagar.

Current Reading: During the past week, the S&P 500 Index (SPX) fell -6.74%. One would think that investors would be running for the hills following such market declines. But we did not see this behavior last week. In fact, the AAII bullish percentage actually rose from 31.47% to 40.94% - a net move of 9.47%.

Implications: Historically, when the SPX has declined by 5% in a week, the bullish reading at the AAII has averaged a rise of 1.71 points. Thus, this past week's market move emboldened investors to buy into this market at a significantly higher rate than in the past.
This "buy the dip" mentality was prevalent in the April 2000 to July 2002 period. During that time frame, 5% weekly pullbacks in the SPX were greeted with the bullish percentage rising an average of 6.58 points. We hope that the AAII ebbs lower in future surveys, as contrarians look for more bearish positioning that coincides with a market bottom.

Again, the ratio is consistent with elevated levels; however, the ratio has been at higher levels during the credit crisis. This is worrisome, considering that in spite of dramatic market declines, put activity relative to call activity has not exploded.

In summary, while equity-only volume put/call ratios could by described as being at or near extremes, I feel that the data presents enough reasonable doubt that investors should proceed with caution. I'm not making a case for another run at new lows, but raising the prospect that a tradable bottom may take longer to form than what many bulls want to see

Att börsen i USA inte föll så kraftigt beror på det mesta att många väntade sig en nedgång med 8 till 10%.
Ofta händer det motsatta när alla förväntar sig en viss riktning för börsen.
Och när det inte blev en panik försäljning gjörde saker svårare...
Vi fich ändå se en nedgång med över 3%... Och värst att veckan slutade med new low.

Vad tror vi om mutual funds? Fortsatta redemptions?
Som jag ser det så har us consumer brist på pengar och behöver kanske plocka ur pengar ur fonder för att finansiera löpande utgifter. I så fall spelar bolagsvärderingar etc ingen större roll, blir ju mest flödesstyrt. Andra tankar?

Gårdagens lägsta höll inte... vi skall nu bevaka nivåer runt 820-830.
Håller dessa nivåer så räkna med vändning upp.

Som jag skrev för några dagar sedan är en bra bekräftelse när MACD i dagsgrafen på nytt vänder upp, vilket det inte orkade i fredags på grund av den svaga stängningen. Inför kommande vecka vore det bra om det håller sig ovanför 620, men en tillfällig dipp mot 600-610 är ingen fara även om det då börjar osa lite bränt. Risken finns då att huvudskuldran helt misslyckas och index snabbt rasar ned mot årslägsta. Närmsta dagarna kommer ge mer klarhet men i dagsläget är min bedömning att det är högre sannolikhet för att en ny uppgångsperiod är på gång. För att undvika missförstånd vill jag som vanligt bara poängtera att det fortfarande är en rejäl bear market och eventuella köp bör fortsatt vara för kortare trading.

Why would Mr. Paulson ever in his right mind come out and say that he wasn't buying any assets when he still has the ammo to do so? It makes no sense at all to make a statement like that when the option is still on the table unless you want investors to panic again. What are the odds that Mr. Paulson has to come out and say that buying troubled assets is actually not off the table? President-elect Obama needs to name a new Treasury Secretary, and fast.

Ang inriktningen på TARP så är det ju så att de får ett "häv" om de går in med kapital istf att köpa tillgångar, så det är väl den mest effektiva användning av pengarna om man vill se till att kapitaltäckningen inte blir en flaskhals.
Detta bör man ju dock ha insett redan från början, varför jag endast kan se två skäl till varför man inte gick med det som grundupplägg och nu sedan ändrar sig:
a) man upplevde det som enklare politiskt att få igenom "buying distressed assets"
b) behoven har svällt under resan och det ursprungliga beloppet skulle inte räcka till om man inte kan använda sig av det "häv" som kapitalinjektionerna ger

KÖP så länge spx 500 är över 850 ...med stop loss runt 850.
Viktigt att spx stänger över 900 för att uppgången fortsätter mot 940-950.
Sen kommer nivåer runt 1000.
Stängning under 840 bekräftar fortsätt nedgång mot 777-768
Min scenario är att vi vänder ner för att bottna runt 12-15 december för att sen vända kraftigt upp... men jag låter marknaden bestämma.
