My ETF rotation system fired off a Sell Consumer Non-Cyclical (IYK)-Buy GS
Tech (IGM) signal this morning. The last trade into Consumer Non-Cyc lost a
nickel per share but overall the system has done very well - up almost 88% as
of yesterday's close since 1/3/03.
The system looks at Alpha divided by SD on six ETF's and selects the one
with the highest Alpha/SD ratio.

my weekly survey shows 15% of brokers and advisors bullish, this a low reading that usually means a bounce, at least, is close at hand

MY INSIGHTS-I looked at the data back further and think a better rule is to use the November lows---NOT THE DECEMBER LOWS--- Since 1902 I find that when the Dow took out the prior Novembers low it has closed higher for the year less than 20% of the time. In other words, 80% of the time there has been a penetration of the November's lows a slide followed.that's a batting record I have to respect.

The Dow just broke the December low.
As per stock traders almanac when the December low is broken during the 1st quarter an average drop of 10.7% is expected from the December low point. Pg 40 in this yrs almanac
